when I read the thread title I said out loud
"Jerry, NO"
but reading into it, I have to say
"Jerry, NO!"
the Bullets have a thin body
the Affinity series has a slightly thicker but not full sized body
the Standard series has the full size body
I have at some point owned all three series and compared them side by side

I still have a bullet hanging in back as an unfinished project
the stuff other than the guitar may make up for the boneing you took

I had a friend who got a $100 Samick with an Ibanez hard case
he wanted the hard case and saw it as a case with a free guitar

If it were really tricked out and it played great in person, I could see it

in any case

I'm weaseling my way outta this deal as we speak. Description wasn't spot on, and also cause I found out Fender G and G cases blow Oxnads.

As it sounds like you got a nice neck already just get a Warmoth or MJT body and build one up bit at a time. These days if I can't get something that I want, I won't just make do.... I'd rather go without.

I went to this dudes place once to pick up this handmade strat i have and he had about 20 squires from his teaching days. He was wanting $70 a piece. Pretty much a metalmaniac guitarfandango paradise right there. The strat i got from him imo is worth about 7 of those squires but i got it for chips. AIiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

I have purchased a bunch of stuff in the last 4 months, but aside form a few sets of pickups setting me back around $750 the majority of it has gone back to the seller as not as described.Even my SG is going on the block , as I play classic stuff and I can't jibe w/ nothing that ain't vintage no more, except for my parts Strats, some of which also have some mileage.

I ain't sure even the old Hiwatt I got, which is a 100% restored and superb running piece of kit, trips my lightswitch, I'll have to play it some more

Anyways, I am no longer posting gear Acquistion threads till everything is received and approved.

I did make one purchase this weekend taht I am totally hoping will pan out. Its a axe I once had that I should of never ever ever sold, and gawd willng it'll live up to sellers descript. If it is, I got a super sweet deal.
I won't post it till it arrives and all is well.

A hint; JJ Cale.

I am in a battle of words to try and nip this ebay sale in the bud w/ the seller.
I mean, I can always send it back for my refund, but that may take a couple weeks or more.This is a "X-tain" seller trying to fight this return tooth and nail.


IMHO, watch the hell out for 'x-tian' sellers. THEY are the ones in my extensive experience that tend have no real ethical morals, or seller ethics that are always vague, ambivalent, or always twisted to their rationale. A guy -so called"X-tian"- by the name of "Kingdom guitars works" sold me a set of Rio Grande pckups a couple months back. They turned out to be horribly microphonic- will cost me another 50 bucks t get them repotted.He knew it.

50 bucks sounds high to repot a set of pups.. be easy to get you a double boiler or big pot/little pot.. parafin,bees wax,thermometer.. watch a few vids and do it your self.. well thats the way id do it.. if i can save money by doing a job myself and its not too much outside my comfort zone.. i will

some vintage gear is pretty good.. others is garbage, man.. old doesnt equate to good but if it suits your purpose, then it is good.. whats your definition of vintage? (ohh boy here we go) IMO anything over 30 years.. hmm MY SG just became vintage.. never played but its kool to have . needs work.

BTW, ? With Jolly, he wants to make believe that Gibson Les Pauls are a "better " instrument, because by spending only 899.00 or whatever on some crummy import Superstrat, he gets to religate the Superstrat to the 'el cheapo' status relative to his expensive Les Pauls to serve his purpose. WRONG!

A Premium Superstrat is close the same price as one of his custom Pauls. I resent that he refuses to get into that sphere of influence.

Jolly, get a high end 2 grand superstrat chintzy eff.

to each there own.. i dont particularly care for a LP,SG or really anything by gibson but some bust a nut at the thought of playing an LP

i personally prefer superstrats. i come to realize i really dont jive with 2 humbucker guitars.. either H,HSS,HsH for me
