I personally think it's a rubbish thing to do. FFs you commit and you buy! You don't stuff some person around over it. Some people need the money and chances are that's why the guitar was for sale.

Jerry take some jolly advice and just buy a charvel.

I will say I've got one of the gold 20th anniversary strats, and it's a damn good sounding axe. But I think mine is a Standard, not an Affinity.
