I just got an SG, what pups to throw in it?

One big problem with the Seth's, I use 100 watt heads more often than not. My Deliverance 120 would probably start feeding back before I turned the amp on.

Borrowed an SG Standard with a 59 set for a gig recently (after my own SG got trashed by an airline), and was really impressed. That said, I hardly ever play neck position. Most neck pickups are way too muddy for me.

I would go with a 59b and either a Jazz or PG neck.

I've heard, but I have to way to backing this up, that a properly wound pickup won't feed back at high volumes. That being said I put a nickel cover on an unpotted neck h/u recently and it feeds back with just an 18w amp. So, my feeling is if you're going to put a cover on an unpotted pickup, maybe dipping the top of the cover in a little wax wouldn't hurt. To fill in any space between the pickup and the cover that is.

For an SG, and for classic rock, I could see a set of PGs sounding really nice. Now, there are two caveats: (1) the PGb is as aggressive a PAF as you will find, (2) it's going to depend a lot on your rig. IME, the PG + Marshall = goodness. I've never used one with a fender amp so I can't comment as to their sound together. I've never tried a seth so I can't comment there either. So my .02 isn't super valuable in this context.
