Awesome! It's really is a great mod and you described it perfectly "tone goes to 11" it really is one brighter lol

So far I really like it. I might want to try a .01uf to see if I ever will want to roll the tone down a bit but if I cannot locate a .01uf I would be pretty happy with it being one brighter rather than suffering with the .022uf cap.

Without trying to sound like a broken record here, no load tone pots! It will sound exactly as if there is no cap in the circuit as it does now full on at 10 and as you turn it down past 9 the cap kicks in, best of both worlds as I've said before.

You should be able to find any value cap you need with a Google search or even eBay. failing finding anything in Europe I doubt the shipping for a cap would be expensive from overseas.

I've never seen or purchased a no load tone pot. I'm open minded to the hip new things though, I should look into one if I can locate it. The biggest problem I have is I have an American ebay/paypal account and I have not gone through the trouble of linking my European bank account (that I never use) to a new Paypal account as Paypal requires me to do. So, when I try to order things with my American Paypal account it gets reported as fraud when I try to have it delivered to my Greek address. I never have this problem with Amazon/Visa purchases through my American bank account though. It's just nicer when I can find things locally and a lot less of a hassle for me too. I would hate having to go pay a fee to take cash out of my American bank account just to deposit it in my Euro bank account to make ebay purchases.

This is a great link for info and how to make them out of existing pots, fender do make them if you would prefer to buy one.

Sucks about the whole PayPal thing, at least we know now eBay and PayPal have better anti-fraud measures than Amazon.

Nice link, I like that idea. I will have to buy an extra tone pot to attempt to create one of these for this guitar. It's exactly what I'm looking for. I would still want to run it with a .01uf instead of a .022uf cap but it's ideally what I want in this guitar. Thanks for the link dude!

You seem to be confused a bit. I never removed the cap from the bridge tone pot. That is still there.

I missed that.

So, you have two volumes on the neck pickup, and regular V/T on the bridge pickup. V/V/V/T, I guess?

For now it is a V/V/T with the neck tone doing nothing until I buy a .01uf cap for it anyway. The neck tone does not act as a volume pot without a cap and without a wire in place of the cap. It's just a dummy pot.

I think Mouser has a European website and distribution centers. I wouldn't think there would be any problem ordering through them, or other suppliers like them, with your Visa. You may not get oil or wax caps but they have "orange drops" and the like.
