Well, two factors here, Ibanez guitars can sound thin when not set up right, sounded like he had the action too low, and the randall amp, thry are no Marshall...... Like EVH5150 they are all fizz, no gutts/growl like Marshalls. I still will try a set

IMO, low action is the #3 cause of thin sounds.

True, they are bloody ugly.....

Then again, I listened to a demo of their Bob Balch signature. I don't know if it was just Bob's settings, but those sounded the best out of all of 'em. If I could get that sound I'd be willing to overlook the appearance.

I've been curious about these pickups and may get around to trying them on my dual HB Strat. Being a Strat guy I am not using full size HBs right now. Damn things look amazing, oh yeah the pickups too.
