you other brothers can't deny, but when a big amp gets cranked in your face, it makes you rock, and puts a smile on your face....you get sprung!! at least I do. anyways, I really hate those threads about.....blah blah blah, meh meh meh, but let's just say, either the kitchen or the living room is about to get bigger.....actually, now that I think about it, maybe one of those rooms will get smaller tomorrow... Lol

Uggghhhh... most worship situations want that thin (quiet) tone, washed-out with delay. A buddy who lead the worship music team for a local mega-church wanted me to climb on-board as lead player. I went to a service to check it out. Nope... not for me. I applaud the guys who do it well. But when I say I want to be moved by music... I literally want it to MOVE me (as in vibrate me and hit me in the chest/back with the air that's moving). I'm not moved by plugging into headphones or processing my tone to the point that it's mush.

I play ROCK & roll. I want it to thump me like a battering ram.

While I like small amps, there is nothing in the world like a big amp and a half or full stack. Just awesome!

We played a dive bar last night in VA Beach. Stage was tiny... So me and the other bands just plopped down our 4x12s on the dance floor. I prefer to have the ability to destroy people if need, but a half stack CAN sound great at moderate levels if need. Use of ineficient speakers, good masted volume, proper micing. Big amps are my thang as well.

Well.... I just added another half stack to my wall of doom today. I guess I'll have to make a new amp day thread tomorrow after I have jammed out tonight and can get on a computer tomorrow to post some pictures.
