I love my Bogner, but . . .

. . . will this make a difference?

I screwed up, and left the plug in the input jack. Killed this thing overnight. Am I losing "tone" by using a Duracell?

All kidding aside, I love having a genuine "Bogner" 9-volt. :D

:lmao:

can you hear the hand-selected electrons?

Re: I love my Bogner, but . . .

Hmm... A guitar brand Carbon Zinc line of 9V for fuzz pedals would actually make sense.

Re: I love my Bogner, but . . .

In keeping with the Bogner Custom Shop's pricing, that battery retails at $19.99. :biglaugh:

By the way, how do you like the Ubershall pedal? I was surprised how usable some of the medium gain tones were.

Re: I love my Bogner, but . . .

Duracells Alkalines explode, so don't use them. They aren't a true 9V cell battery, they are 6 AAAA 1.5-volt in a casing wired in series and the whole package is slightly undersized.

You should stick with the OEM. I use this in my HM-2 for the ultimate in chainsaw tone:

I'm liking it, but it takes some tweaking. The boost is way over the top. Still getting a feel for the settings.

Hey GearJ, how've ya been? Hey, do you know how it takes me to hand paint that battery casing to perfection?!

See ya at the Amp Show again this year? Make sure to stop by the Bogner room.

I hated the Uberschall! I couldn't get it off my board fast enough haha. Not to mention, it barely has any gain in it. Bogner tones aren't cut out for me.

But the Uberschall was the better imo. If you are bored try boosting with another pedal instead of the onboard boost, it sounded better that way.

Re: I love my Bogner, but . . .

you know I read an article by Eric Johnson a bunch of years ago, and he swears that ONLY Ever Ready batteries are what he will use. They definitely make a difference. Well after reading that I decided to put it to the test and he was right. There is a noticeable difference, but not enough for me to be using all Ever Ready batteries. I prefer my power supply thank you very much Mr. Johnson. I show up to play, plug in my board, amp, plug in the two cables and I am ready to go. No worries about dead batteries. :beerchug:
