I need a 25" scale with a TOM

Re: I need a 25" scale with a TOM

Wow I never knew Ibanez ARZ that hot before! The heel cutaway is slick!
I think FMT stands for Fender Mahogany Telecaster, maybe that's why Fender didn't list it in the spec.
IIRC,Hamer also has/had some 25" guitar with TOM.
You could look for ESP Gus G Eclipse if you could stand the graphics though

Am I blind, or do they not say what the body is made of? Maple top, obviously, but I am talking about the meat of the body.

Edit: MF lists them as mahogany. Odd that Fender doesn't list it, though.

They also show a brown color. It is my favorite, but apparently it is not made any more.

Nice touch that they come with a PG and a '59! With coil spitting, no less.

As far as I can tell, it's a Les Paul made to look and play like a Tele.

Win/win IMO.

Another vote for Carvin. Almost all of their model are now in the 25 scale and they have the M bridge option which is a string through the body with a Ttunamatic + the stop tail Tunamatic is also an option.
Almost any conceivable board radius, fretboad material, fret size and material is available as an option + all types of options on neck woods body woods tops you name it!

That does indeed look seriously awesome.

Anyone know what it means when Fender calls their frets "Jumbo"? How big can one expect them to be?

Also, where are these guitars made and how well?

Not a TOM, but still it may be good for you?

Ibanez SZ320... 25" scale, all mahogany except a few that had a maple top.
Double cut, but who knows? The body's much thicker than most PRS SE models.
They go pretty cheap used as well. I have one and the hardware quality is excellent.
The stock pickups are terrific as well, some rare Duncan/Ibanez pickups designed after the '59 and the Distortion.

I'm pretty sure that those have a basswood body with a maple top. And I think FMT is supposed to mean "Flame Maple Top" or "Flame Maple Tele."

I insist that Hunter respond to this post! Insist!

I'm certainly no Hunter and I could very easily be wrong, but somewhere in my dark, dreary, sleep addled brain, I have the nagging feeling that he's posted before about preferring the feel of top loading bridges rather than anything string through.
