I need a dsl 401 to sound thicker

The stock speakers are gold backs. What would be a better thicker fuller speaker.

if i had the money, i'd be looking at a G12T70 for my 401.. there's the 'if' though..

The Eminence Swamp Thang, is fat and lovely. No mud at all, but will warm an amp beautifully.

a) The DSL401 has El84s which AFAIK aren't known for fatness
b) It's an open back combo... that takes away alot

So maybe an extension cab would get you where you wanna be?!
