I need a present midrange but also low output humbucker for an LP

if you are a tele guy, id go for the pgb. ive always thought it sounds like a big thick mean tele bridge pup. it also has a some what similar eq curve to the jb with a nice upper mid peak

Have you ever tried Lace pickups? I just pulled a dually hot gold from one of my guitars. It sounded similar to what you are looking for- an hotter PAF tone with a controlled low end. It was not scooped sounding to me, which is part of the reason i replaced it with something else. I know someone you can buy it from too ;-) It is very good split, as you would imagine. I still have one in the neck of that guitar, probably my favorite tone of all my guitars right now.

So, spent a good part of my morning going over video comparisons, reading comments online, etc. I actually am leaning towards a couple pickups that I don't think where suggested here, the 59/Custom Hybrid and the Pegasus. It seems like these are rounded in their EQ curves, not as scooped as some of the more vintage-flavored options (even the PGB), but medium-ish output, without the distinct snarl that the JB has. The Pegasus is advertised as a metal pickup but there's demos out there of it sounding smooth and full-bodied in other styles. The Hot Cat has a distinct sound to it that might be tamed with a smoother pickup, some people call it "fizzy", but I think that's somehow speaker related. It doesn't get along with everything.

I'd agree with the Pegasus (even the Black Winter) or the 59/Custom Hybrid. All of them sound great with a present midrange and medium output.
