I need a tele bridge pickup cheap !!

Reload in 5

Just Ultimate Slacker
I am already in trouble for buying that peavey reactor tele (even though I got it for $50) and I got it all put together and it appears the bridge pickup is dead.
So I need an inexpensive (read cheap) bridge pickup. Somebody has to have something. Trades would be awesome, but all I really have is a digitech rp-6, and a digitech gb-s multi effect gig bag. I also have a guitarfetish stringthrough black hardtail bridge, with black ferrules. an RP-200. and an 80s squier HM.

Re: I need a tele bridge pickup cheap !!

How about a MIM Tele bridge pickup? It's from the Classic Reissue Series, it looks like it's pretty much new. I just bought a Quarter Pound for my Tele project and don't need it anymore. You can have it for $15 shipped, unless you have something else I can use. They sound really good I just wanted something thicker. I haven't actually removed it yet. If you are interested I will and send you some pics.

I have something for you, too...a Fender Tele bridge pickup. No further info, but I think it's American. But BB has first dibs.

Thank you.

Re: I need a tele bridge pickup cheap !!

alright guys, thanks for the offers. Is there any diff in the MIM and american pickups ? I will likely have to wait until after the 18th to buy
I would love to trade for something nice, but unless an offer comes my way I will get one of these from you guys.
Again thanks.

I'm sure there is a difference, but I don't know what that difference is. Probably in the wind. There is not a lot of info out there regarding these pickups. Both use the same bobbin, neither comes with the metal baseplate. I bought mine thinking it was an MIA pickup, but later found out it was MIM. The only way I know to tell is by the color of the lead wires. Beware, MIMs get passed off all the time as MIA pickups.

My pickup has blue and yellow leads, the bobbin is wrapped in yarn and wax-dipped to protect the coils. It's a good pickup for what it is (much better than the MIM Strat pickups IMO), plenty of bite. Since you are in no hurry I will post pics in a few days.
