i need help...bass

hello ! i'm new and i'm in a jam...

i cant decide (or dont have a clue) on what pick-up/circuitboard to get..

i want 2 soapbars...active...as for sound i want a smooth clean jazz sound but when it's time to slap the hell out of the bass..it sounds like a ton of bricks..something a high-end bass would get.

please re-direct me in the right direction!!

what does it have for controls?

duncan makes a ssb4 passive soapbar that with the stc active electronics could cover all the tones you are looking for. on top of the active eq, it has a slap control thats turned on by a push/pull pot. the slap cuts mids and boosts bass.
the emg 35 pup would probably fit as well as a second option
