I need me one of these Marshalls

Re: I need me one of these Marshalls

(like i told pac112 in the msn convo we had)
thats a big marshall
or a little man

Re: I need me one of these Marshalls

The damn thing I'm sure is a prop...but there are other pics of that concert and it looks fairly real..they went to pretty big lengths to make it look so...

That is my hero, Gary Moore @ the Castle Donnington Fest 1984 (back when he rocked!)

Re: I need me one of these Marshalls

i think it kinda blows off the whole 'realistic' part when they put it up next to a real marshall stack on stage.

Maybe there's PA speakers in there?

Re: I need me one of these Marshalls

The cabs aren't props, they have some like that at my music store, like 10 some odd 12 inchers in em.

It sounds unbelieveable, they had a JCM800 (2203) running into it with some kinda power booster for all the speakers, with a peavey wolfgang :D.

That was a blast, hearing damage be damned!

I thought those were built for 'Nigel Tufnel' of Spinal Tap. There's a small sidebar about those amps in Doyle's Marshall book.

Indeed....sigh...the good ol' days. I feel like I've been robbed...there WAS so much diversity in his style (he played quite a bit of fusion inbetween Lizzy gigs in the 70s and you can hear it on the first 4 solo albums)....he's been plugging along at the same ol' blueys $hit for the last 15 years...quite disappointing (I LOVE the blues mind you, but it's NOT his forte). Though if it makes him happy, thats all that matters I guess.

Corridors of Power, Victims of the Future, We Want Moore (the Live album), and Wild Frontier should be in every hard rock guitarists collection. And if you can find the Live form Stockholm Video circa 1987/1988 you'll flat out be amazed when you hear The Loner from that concert...THAT is Gary Moore at his finest.

Yes, I'm bitter :D
