I Need Pre-Amp Reccommendations.

Hey guys,
I need a preamp that does dark, deep, heavy distortion tones. Something that is not buzzy like a Rectifier. I have a rectifier to cover those tone . Anyway, if you know of a good preamp, tell me please!

I really like the Mesa Quad. It contains the Mark IIC+ and Mark III preamp circuits.

Mesa Triaxis? I've never tried it but I hear it's really good?

The Quad is old and discontinued. They pop up on Ebay and other forums from time to time. Generally sell for $500-$700.

I would 2nd Tri-Axis... or the Marshall JMP-1...

If you are looking for something other than mesa tones, try the jmp-1, or a Soldano sp-77
