I have a lipstick red Ibanez '88 540 sabre HSS config. thin mahogany body.

Overall a balanced tone with a locking trem.

What should I use for the humbucker?

I could use these pickups currently owned:

USA Jackson J-90C
super distortion
tone zone
paf pro
breed neck (currently installed, not thick enough in bridge)
breed bridge

Or you can recommend me a SD or differenet DMZ.

I play melodic high gain.

Actually, the PATB-1. Parallel Axis Trembucker. I put one in an Alvarez Scoop (HSS with a thin basswood body), and the result was amazing. I'd had CC, 59', C5, PAF Pro and one or two others that I can't remember right now in there.

The CC was the best of the bunch, but the PATB blew it away. Great lows, fantastic mids, perfect highs....great balance. The looks are a little different, but the sound is fantastic.

You know that Breed bridge is screaming to be put in that Ibanez, don't you? :)

It's hard to say no to a charmer like a breed bridge.
