I passed on this grass (Marshall)

Keeps popping up locally but not only do I have no dough it just doesn't seem right. If it was turned into a boogie that ain't for me. Also heard that their mods result in a lot of red nail polish over much of the components. Also read some peeps were unhappy with his mods. I personally want this amp but unmodded. But if there was no reserve, the starting price of $400 seems like a good deal!

Well it sold for $800. There's too many good amps out there to pay that much for an old modded Marshall combo.

At least the mods were done by a known LA tech. Amp Crazy/Jabco is on Gardner St, right around the corner from Guitar Center Hollywood.

I don't think it did - for some reason that page makes it seem that way, but there were zero bids I think. BIN was $800 with a $400 start price; I watched it til the end and no one nabbed it. He previously had it listed at like $1,200 or something.

At any rate - yeah, too many amps nowadays to fiddle with a marshall potentially modded to make it sound less like a marshall. Happy with my amps right now - plus I don't seem to play anything much as of late so it's kind of silly to buy even more.

But if he would really let it go for 4 bones, that was a bit tempting.
