I really like my pedalboard...

so, I'm gonna talk about it, feel free to read on if you so desire.

TU-2 A great chromatic tuner that has NEVER let me down. it's always there to kill the signal if something happens with my guitar.

DS-1
The best boost/overdrive pedal I've ever used (IMO). I've had tubescreamers, the pickup booster, and a couple EQ pedals. but I like the DS-1 best for a boost. Volume up all the way, gain down all the way, tone straight up (12 o'clock)

Crybaby From Hell I've gotta have a wah when I'm busting out my sick solos, and this one has treated me very well. I love the adjustment knob and the boost switch it has on it!

Metal Muff Nano I tried it out in the shop and knew it was gonna replace my DS-1 as my new distortion pedal. I rely on this pedal 100% for all my distortion needs, and it accomodates me very well.

CE-5
I went through several different pedals before I found that finishing touch to my pedalboard (Phase 90, Envelope Filter, etc etc etc) The chorus ensemble works great for me!

This thread would of course be worthless without a pic.

This rig runs into my Fender Blues Jr. which I run clean.

Re: I really like my pedalboard...

I like your choice in pedals, but i have heard soooo many negative comments about those one-piece pedal-connectors !

No one here use them. At all !

Why did you get them, over the more traditional bendy-cables ???

Oh, and a nother thing . . .

. . . with such a small price diff. between the three Metal Muff, why did you get the 'baby' one ?

I think the extra size on the big-brother is worth it, if you look at the extra tone-shaping features that you get for a few Dollars more . . .

;)

Re: I really like my pedalboard...

I LOVE the planetwaves pedal connectors. to me that just seem like they're a lot better than the bendy 6" cables. It just makes the whole board more sturdy, nothing on there is movin' around.

I went with the nano, for 1. it's a little cheaper, 2. it fits right in on my board, just the right size, just the right set-up, 3. Like I said, I played it at the store and it had exactly the tone I wanted, so there was no question. I don't really need the added features of the full size metal muff.

Re: I really like my pedalboard...

Nice board, Kac! Simple, functional, covers all the territory you need. (Plus, it's all neatly laid out on a spiderweb coffin. What could be better?)

. . . point taken - still, i would like the get the big Metal Muff, as i think it can work for my next project, a Stoner-Sludge band !

Re: I really like my pedalboard...

Looks like you've got everything you need. Cool Wah, too. The Metal Muff is one of my favorite guilty pleasures. I got the middle size one, but hardly use the top boost feature. It can be a bit muffled, but it's major fun for power chord rock.

Re: I really like my pedalboard...

Very similar to my setup.:) One thing you might try....move the TU-2 last in the chain and see if does anything good for your tone. I found that my Crunchbox likes an unaltered signal going into it. I don't know if the Metal Muff is sensitive to input, but it is worth the effort.

Yeah I think the middle sized metal muff is kool too, but I wouldn't use the top boost feature since I've got the DS-1.

Re: I really like my pedalboard...

Glad to hear people dig that metal muff. i haven't heard one except that I know the guitarist from Genghis Tron uses one and sound pretty good. I think the full sized model could be my next only distortion pedal...
