Many, many thanks to Newking70, Jol, Evan, Seymour, Hamer Guitars and Seymour Duncan Pickups!

You've all read about Newking70 winning a complete set-up from Jol and new pickups from Seymour Duncan and giving me his gift - right? Well that's just what happened. There's even an article in Premier Guitar about this super generous gift.

It took me a while to figure out what to do here because I don't have a large guitar collection anymore and I love this ES-335 just like it is.

But what I'm thinking of is asking Seymour to analize the Tom Holmes humbuckers in this guitar and wind kind of a cross between these and the Custom Shop Antiquity style Peter Green humbuckers but I DO NOT want them out of phase with each other and I'd like them with four conductor cable.

Evan offered to include a pair of the new Triple Shot pickup rings I've been dying to try, so that's the package I'm thinking of.

If I can get close to BB King's tone, especially on the Live At The Regal album and the tones Peter Green got on the Supernatural and Greeny I'll be one happy guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYnIBB2uWBo and also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTp10hzfswk

Again - many, many thanks to everyone, and that includes all of you who have been so kind to me during this challenging time in my life.

Blessings to all of you,
Lew

When I first saw the Triple Shots, I had to smack myself in the head....like, why didn't this come out years ago???

Now, I'm really interested in them. Your ES-335 is going to be so cool once it's done!

After watching this video, where Frank talks about MORE wiring that can be done inside the cavity, you might consider some pullup pot to make those Peter Green pickups out of phase with each other, besides what the Triple Shots are capable of.

Good idea Joe, but since these pickups will have nickel pickup covers, I think the cover of one pickup would buzz like crazy if I touched it while playing if I reversed the phase with a switch. Peter Green did it by reversing the magnet - not by reversing the hot and ground. Good idea though!

No matter what, those pickup rings are a revolutionary idea. And once they're installed, you can always have an easier time changing pickups.

I haven't checked with any dealers. How much are the Triple Shots?

The Triple Shots do seem like a great idea! Who invented them? Frank?
