I never had any experience playing them but I've read a lot of good reviews. They are supposed to be one of the most comfortable playing guitars around and the neck is re-enforced with graphite I think to make it super stable. Adrian Belew is a big fan of Parker Fly guitars and I think he has his own signature series model. I think they are worth checking out.

I play one. Ultralight and comfortable. The necks are super fast and thin. I have zero complaints about the guitar. Mine is a HSS and gets a killer strat sound in the middle position, the humbucker does anything I ask of it. LesStrat is also a Parker guy I know he is in love with his also.

I've had a few Parkers over the years, including the P-series, USA Nitefly series, standard USA "Fly" models and even a rare USA hardtail at one point.
Incredible guitars, definitely ahead of their time in many ways.
The only "gimmicky" attribute was their unusual shape, which didn't appeal to everyone. That said, the ergos were excellent, the guitars were super light and resonant, the hardware was exceptional, fretwork beautiful and every one I had (except for the low-end P-series) played really well. Even though the Nitefly had a bolt-on neck, it was one of my favorites tonally.
I'm more of a "V", pointy shape, hair-metal strat kind of guy or I would still have one for sure. I've actually thought about picking another one up many times in the past year or two

Nope. Ken Parker sold out to U.S. Music Corporation and was Washburn built years ago. Washburn changed everything that made the guitars cool and unique to save money. They also changed the iconic headstock. They are getting ready to release 2018 models after a 2-year hiatus but I do not know if they are making the guitars in Illinios again or overseas. I would suggest looking for a Massachusetts made Ken Parker guitar if you are looking for one.

Incredible tone, just not my cup of tea.
I think someone with back/joint issues would like them as they are some of the lightest electrics I've played.
Great players and great tone...kinda quirky IMO.

Fly and Nitefly, both are incredible...
I do think they are ugly and they will not hang from a headstock stand, but all I care is the tone and feel.
Hss nitefly is my primary performance guitar and everything from quality to piezo is exactly what I need and a perfect platform for mods.

At its thickest point the bottom of the body it is almost exactly the thickness of my SG. The top horn is about 3/4 of an inch, the bevel for the tummy cut is about a 1/2 inch. It is definitely lighter than the SG. If you want to make the trip up to SO. NH you can futz with mine all you want. I am right on the MA border about an hour from Canton.

But right after I ordered it it went on backorder
And after about 6 months they canceled the order for me
The PDF85 I think it was, was Indonesian made and had trouble with the fretboard delamination
It was a mid level red burst with peizo and Duncan pickups
I so wanted it for $485 sale price
They had another one they kept trying to push on me at the $799 regular price
I bought one a few years ago

I play a Nitefly Mojo - great guitar. The neck profile is the same as the Fly, I believe. I would describe it as a C neck, heading towards D, but a long way from an Ibanez/shred profile. I can transfer from my Les Paul (59 profile), Music Man, Strat, Tele, etc. and nothing feels out of place.
