I don't care what Gibson was going for (trying to make the inlays look old??) I just think the green looks cool.

I salute you good sir! There are enough cherry sunburst LPs in the world.

I think the coppertops and geckos and silverbursts and other oddities are really cool - especially on a guitar that is a 60 year old design.

I don't know what gives me more GAS; looking at the Gibson site or seeing all the LP's posted on here.

I have them on my goldtop classic. I don't really like them but I like the guitar much more.

If they were more amber than green I think they would look better. My 79 ES inlays are more smoky and I've seen those that have yellowed but never ones that actually got greener as they got older.

I'll try to post some photos when I get a chance to show the real effect of aging on the inlays. Let's just say the green doesn't do it justice.
