My scalpel broke while making it, so I ended up free handing the rest with a pair of scissors. Just in case you were wondering what people use laptop skins for... they make great faux pickguards. :firedevil

That's the Dimarzio/IBZ B1, supposed to be somewhere between a Steve's Special and a Super Distortion. Doesn't quite have the reduced mids of the SS, and the maple neck seems to make it quite snappy. I had to disable the EQ plugin at the end of the chain that was a "de-mud" setting as this guitar is much clearer sounding than others. I just might have to put a Tone Zone or Invader in this one. :D

Is it just me or does every Kerry King solo sound out of tune? I'm not really a fan so I haven't seen much but it seems like every time something sounds whacked.

I've always thought it was intentional. It's such a creepy song about such a disturbing topic, the dissonance of the solo is entirely fitting. It's a musical theme common in their work.
