i wanna add more balls and color to my tone

right now i have my bc rich warlock that has a chesswood body and stock pups. floyd rose double locking ect. all the neat stuff like that. i run it though my dsl. as of now i dont like how the pinch harmonics sound. too weak. even on the lead 2 channel. i want to get a jerry cantrell tone that he has on the degradation trip album, and i also want it to sound full similar to zakk wylde's tone. and colorful. nothing too over the top (nothin too thin, too muddy, especially too bright.) and it has to get good sounding cleans. i love my cleans to be beautiful. heres the thing.

i kinda like the cleans i already get. but im not too fond of the distorted sound. should i get different pickups, or get an overdrive pedal to beefin stuff up. and what pups do u recommend me? thanks

whats the rest of your rig look like? jerry cantrell used a jb on almost everything

bc rich warlock into a marshall dsl50 and a 1960av cabinet. the only effects i really use is my boss ch-1 superchorus and my dunlop crybaby's.

For the Cantrell stuff, ti's got to be the JB. For the Wylde tones, you'd need EMG's (81 in the bridge, to be exact). I'd say, split the difference.

A 59 in the neck and a Duncan Distortion for the bridge would do nicely. :burnout:
