I tend to use delay in a doubling mode. Nice tight digital with fast decay. My Spidervalve has a good one. I also like plate reverb. Also 80's style square wave chorus set wet.
I use everything from a slapback to a modulated (memory man) delay. I also like really long delays (15-20 seconds) for sound-on-sound looping. The Boss Giga Delay was really good at that, and the repeats fuzzed out in a really cool way.
