It's called "whole tone/half tone" scale here..it's the same, isn't it?

There is nothing weird at all about it. There is no such thing as a weird scale. Only the usage of scales can be determined as being weird or not. It totally depends on the context with which the scale is being used. The relationship between the harmonic backing and the notes within the scale determine what the results will sound like. Out of context the scale alone means nothing.

Let's rephrase anyway: It's hard for me to find a normal usage for the Diminished scale. Happy? Or was I wrong again?
