Yeah, I drooled over that one for a bit... beautiful guitar...

But I'd have to sell... everything I own, and I'd still be short.

But I am seriously tempted to click on Buy It Now, then *immediately* send them an email with a paniced "SOO did not mean to do that, SORRY!"

Not enough angel is the centerfold puns in the listing. Not interested.

Re: I wouldn't mind finding one of these in the attic....

dude must be broke. If hes selling it cos hes not playing it not gonna get played. Some blues lawyer will jump on it and put it in a glass case.

Re: I wouldn't mind finding one of these in the attic....

If i had the cash Id buy it and raffle it to a member of the forum.

Re: I wouldn't mind finding one of these in the attic....

"As much as it pains me to sell it I just don’t use it anymore and hate to see it just sitting on my wall in my guitar room. It deserves to be played and wail as Gibson intended"

I would think the next buyer would probably have it in it's case 24/7. I don't think anyone would take a 59 on tour or leave it laying around their jam room to "wail" on.

Re: I wouldn't mind finding one of these in the attic....

This reminds me of an earlier thread about expensive name brand guitars Vs. cheaper no-name guitars. I had posted a reply about how spending $5,000+ on a guitar is just setting yourself up for an emotional MELTDOWN if it gets dinged. At $250,000 it would be like skipping meltdown and going straight for the .45. What do you do with a guitar that cost the came as a high end Lamborghini? You're crazy if you touch it, and your stupid for spending a quarter million on a decoration piece.

Re: I wouldn't mind finding one of these in the attic....

Even if someone gave it to you, you'd have immediate problems ... frightened to take it out of the house, frightened to go out and leave it in the house, paranoid about who you mention it to. Pretty soon the only safe feeling would be by having it stored in a secure vault somewhere.

Yeah, spending that much money on a guitar that made you terrified to be it's owner seems like a brilliant idea. I'll take two thanks, I might need a spare.

That's been for sale for quite awhile now. I'm not surprised that it hasn't sold.
