These are the stock pups in my new Artcore AFS77T and, you know what, Wattage was right, they're not half bad. The bridge pickup has a really nice midrange honk under medium gain. Very 335ish, despite the absence of a center block. The neck pup is a bit bland, but not unpleaasing.
They're totally competent workhorse pickups and my short recording attempts suggest that they sit in a mix really pretty well.
But they're sill coming out in favor of something that will, hopefully, reproduce more of the hollow body complexity. There's a lot going on in the sound of this thing acoustically that I'm not hearing any hint of in these fairly one dimensional pups.
