I have a RI, and its a keeper. Its very subtle till about 1 o'clock on both knobs, but then it can get pretty flangery, but not as some other pedals. It thickens things up beautifully, very subtle but very wet, for cleans its is amazingy, if you tweak with it enough and have classically voice brit amp, you can come close to the swirl of Richie Blackmore on "Catch the Rainbow"

I used to own 2 CS-9's reissue's and the day after I got them I took them back and used my money 2 buy 2 used Boss CE-1's, then a week later I tried out a Electro Harmonix Deluxe Electric Mistress Flanger, and the CE-1's went into the closet. To me the CS-9's sounded to thin and brite This is definitely a try before you buy pedal.

Well I have to say I guess that I love mine primeraly infront of Laney AOR 50Watt through a JCM900 4X12 .... but than again, I love it just as much into my transistor shoe box Kustom 15 watt.
