Ibanez Edge Trem? Tell me about them?

Hi guys.. I found out the Ibanez I got a great deal on used is a Model 550 with an Edge Trem.. I'm jumping for joy.. Anyway, I've never used the Edge trem, but I hear they are really good.. ANyone have one? If so, can you tell me what the difference is between it and a real floyd? I've used those quite a bit.. I take it one can really pull up on the edge trem to raise pitch really high? Like extra octives or something? Ala, Steve Vai?

I have one...its my first actually. I think its great...havent had any problems yet and it seems very stable. As for the pull ups...just about any trem can be made to do that evan a strat! Its all in how you set it up.....it helps to have the route in the body but isnt always needed.
