Totally not what I was after, but I have a trade lined up for my Squier Tele & Jag for a red Fireman. I’ve wanted one for years, pretty excited to get such a cool, odd ball guitar.

I’m a big Paul Gilbert fan, and love everything about the idea of it. I’m expecting the neck to be bigger than I’m used to, but I can’t find anybody saying anything bad about them. Really excited to try the Injector pickups, too.

Seems like a really fun guitar to play. Paul gets a lot of great tones from all over the spectrum with his so I'd expect good things.
Enjoy and report back on your experience with it.

I'll be looking forward to your in depth review. I'm a Paul Gilbert fan too. It's a unique guitar for sure. I do recall him talking about the neck and the ones he gets have a really thick neck but the production models are slightly thinner to appeal to the masses because not everyone likes a baseball bat for a neck.

Pretty sure the Fireman trade went south. Sent the dude a message before going on vacation a week ago, haven't heard back. Since the guy with the SG has been very communicative, I'm taking this as a sign.
