Thats a mid to late 70's "Rocket Roll".

It's not made from Limba like a 50's V, it's in fact made from Japanese wood called Sen, which is closest to Ash and most of them had maple necks...sounds little like a Gibson V but they look cool.

What else would you like to know?

Dude could have taken some bigger pics. Did he shrink them down on purpose so you can't see any detail?

I've never seen one, but I'm intrigued. I bet it's pretty sweet.

Actually Sen is called a "japanese ash" by alot of westerners, because it's grain is similar looking to our swamp ash, but the wood doesn't sound like ash- It's more like a cross between alder and limba- more mids, but not as dark as a (real) mahogany and not as clear as limba.

FWIW- Sen is what EVH's famous Destroyer was made of-


Regardless, alot of these old Ibanez Destroyers & RRs are FANTASTIC guitars.

I had a Rocket Roll back in the 70's and it was a MONSTER!.. Great looks and humongous sound. Loved that guitar. Since I've had probably 4 Gibby V's and they couldn't touch it sound wise. These are great guitars.
