Hi guys
hows it going?!?!
im Planning on selling me newest acquisition, the Dean Vendetta 4.o. i just didnt like the feel of the fixed Bridge, but loved the neck through design. the fact that the body is chambered is also something that made me quite unhappy. Q: ((( BUt this is the very first time i try a neck thru guitar . so im definitely looking forward to a neck thru construction in my next guitar.

IM looking at these 2 guitars here in brazilian EBAY but i checked the serial numbers on the ibanez dater project and they dont EVEN Show UP there. so that makes me worried about getting a fake guitar

could you guys shed some infos and light upon these two guitars? i mean the fact that they are original OR NOT.
Let me know, heres the links

Re: Ibanez Identification Help - RGT42DX and RGT6EX

The pictures look pretty convincing. Not sure about the serial numbers, but 2006 is the right timeframe for that instrument. And I have seen the EMG model around here as well.

I will say, the RGT is a great instrument. I have three of them now. Love the neck-through for its sustain. These are monsters if you tune down.

Here are some pictures of one of my RGT42DX's which looks a lot like the first one you linked right down to the hardware:

Thanks man
is it the mahogany body one?
im thinking in getting the one with the emgs. the visual is cleaner and without bull****s. ahahahahah

Re: Ibanez Identification Help - RGT42DX and RGT6EX

Yes, I think all of these were mahogany.

I have not played one with EMG's, but I think it would be a good platform for them. I only have one guitar with active pickups in it; not really my cup of tea, personally. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

I am looking forward to your NGD thread!

Re: Ibanez Identification Help - RGT42DX and RGT6EX

No matter what you choose, the core of the body is maple+walnut laminate. The wings' effect on tone is less pronounced, compared to a full body of a bolt on or set neck guitar.
