Ibanez v8 to dimarzio wire matching?

Dimarzio. Ibanez

Red. Red.
White and black together. White

Green and ground. Just ground


Does this sound correct for a 1991 ibanez rg550? Hsh
Red goes to a tab on the switch and white goes to a tab on the switch and ground in the pot on the v8. Does the dimarzio match like that?

That is correct, Ibanez just ties the "white" and "black" together at the pickup.

And afterwards I would tie all the cables together and set the pickup on fire.
God I hate the Ibanez V8 pickup. Easily the worst bridge pickup I've ever tried. Not a single redeeming quality about it.

Try swapping the magnets. Things get a lot better when you do that. ;)
