If I do have a Gordon Smith Tele made, I think I'll go for a Tapped Quarter Pound or a JD in the bridge and a Phat Cat in the neck.

Although, those Fender Light Ash Tele's look and sound great too. Plus they come stock with Duncans

Check out the new squire tele's with p-90 it certainly be done and would sound great. :burnout:

+1 on the p90 neck and tele bridge.

i wonder how much difference in tone the phatcats as compared to the vintage p90n. you may want to think about that too since you are having your tele made.

you may want to check out fralins steel poled 42 or 43 for tele. they are said to have a p90 tone with twang. lew will be able to tell you more on this.

I have heard good things about the Fralin Steel Pole 42 and 43 for Tele, I know Lew likes them alot

I'm not definitely having a Tele yet, it's just I have some money and it's burning a hole in my pocket lol

I'm only in this situation myself because my Grandad died last summer and the Lawyers have finally sorted everything out about his estate and what he left behind

I had a Gordon Smith Guitar made soon after in his memory, but the money for it has only just come through. I can't believe it's taken almost 9 months?! :saeek:
