Hey all,

Just looking for a little feedback on a 15" bass speaker replacement. I picked up a Fender sidekick 100 bass cabinet a bit ago at Goodwill for $20.00.
Looking to replace the speaker as it seems not to work..expected that..lol. Anyways, I am pairing the 15" cab with a Fender rumble 500 v3. With 8 ohm cab connected it puts the total wattage to 500 watts. It is said to be loaded with 2x10 Eminence speakers. Can not verify has it's only 3 months old, and you know, warranty stuff. So I am wondering what others think would be a good match. I have been thinking of either the Kappa Pro 15LFA or 15A. The cab is 22x14x26 1/2 (inside), with a 2 1/4x22 vent on top, the face is slanted. I was thinking Eminence because that's what my amp has, is that the best way to go? I'm not a treble guy, I like good mids and lows. Your ideas would be so cool....peace

I recently scored an old Peavey TNT 130 on Craigslist for free! Blown speaker.
I got an Eminence Legend CA154 for $89 on Amazon.
It's now the best Peavey amp I've ever heard! Highly recommended.

Re: Idea's on 15" bass speaker replacement

the ca154 is a 4 ohm speaker. eminence makes two 8 ohm speakers suitable for bass and of those the bp1525 is deeper sounding but the cb158 is louder (and heavier)

Re: Idea's on 15" bass speaker replacement

There's the CA158 (8 ohm)as well!!!!
I wish I would have used the 8ohm version then I could of added a jack for an extra speaker.

I have that one in an Avatar 115 cab I'm selling... sounds great... low hours... still have packaging... might be willing to remove speaker from cab... hint hint...
