I use a Reflex, which they've since discontinued, as my number one axe. I bought it as soon as it was released because I liked the Axis, but didn't want Floyd Rose/locking, and the Reflex had more tonal options (series/parallel) - and, yes, a tone pot too! They're still out there in the shopping universe, though increasingly will only be found as the platform for EBMM Gamechanger. EBMM make great guitars. If you're looking set-neck, the Armada plays beautifully, though it's looks didn't quite work for me.

what would be a good blues/jazz guitar for me look for (I don't want a jazz box, been there, too cumbersome)?

Try a Gretsch there's more flavours out there than vanilla and chocolate
