Identify SH2N and SH14 pickups

I recently purchased a used guitar over the internet and the seller told me the pickups were a '59 in the neck and an Antiquity in the bridge. When I got the guitar I noticed that the bridge cover plate wasn't worn as I had expected and when I opened up the back cover plates I noticed that both pickups have 4-wire + ground leads. I had expected the Antiquity to have a 1-wire+ground lead. This made me suspicious so I looked under the pickups and found the stickers with SH2N-0641 for the neck pickup and SH14-1144 for the bridge pickup. Looking up on the SD website it looks like these are actually a Jazz pickup and a Custom 5 pickup. Is that correct? Thanks for the help.

That is correct.

Welcome to the Forum!

Yes..what he^ said. The Jazz and Custom 5 are pretty different than a 59 and Antiquity (and an Antiquity is generally more expensive). Hopefully you might be able to bring this to the seller's attention. BTW, if I see a guitar I like and someone says 'it has xxxxx pickups in it', I always ask for pics. Maybe you have some recourse here. The pickups you have are good, but they will sound vastly different.

The pups being good aside, I'd be going a bit shouty-crackers. Especially in anticipation of receiving an Antiquity in the deal.

I kind of think it's much better off they were a 4-conductor Custom 5 and a Jazz. The seller ripped himself off IMO.

Well, it depends...it doesn't matter how good they are, it isn't what was advertised, and the pickups received are good, but used for something different than what was described.
