Identify this amp

sorry that I don't have any images at this moment but I recently found an old fender princeton in my grandparents house. It looks almost blackface but it has large round flat white knobs. It has dual inputs, one channel, Volume (no gain controll) treble, bass, and vibrato with speed and intensity knobs. No reverb. It is powered by two 6L6 tubes and i think (but am not sure) that it has 3 pre amp tubes. when the heck is it from and about what is it worth? Thanks for the help,

Eli

Also sometimes if you look inside you'll see a date stamped somewhere.

Have the amp appraised. If it's an old one it could be worth quite a bit.

Re: Identify this amp

with tremolo, sounds to me like it's a brown face...they had white/cream knobs, two inputs, tremolo (fender mistakingly called it vibrato), etc.....even if it's one of them it'd have to be in really good condition to pull $800....not that it's not a great amp, don't get me wrong, but it's not worth going to an appraiser over.

And if the brown tolex isn't there anymore (he didn't mention whether it was or not) and someone's recovered it, that drops the value further, but still a GREAT amp. I was looking at getting one...best tremolo I've ever heard

Re: Identify this amp

oh wait...this page changed since I clicked on it...*looks at the picture* late 60's Princeton it sounds like to me. Looks to me like a 1965-1968 Blackface Princeton that someone has replaced the knobs on

This is a 1965 Princeton...strikingly similar, but different knobs

Re: Identify this amp

1961-1964 Fender Princeton amps were Brownface, they didn't go blackface until 1965, so it's not any earlier than that
