Well hello! So I and a friend in my band went to a luthier to get his pickups in his les paul switched out(he did not know how to do it himself at that time) and the luthier guy just said he has got some great pickups...so a couple of days ago we switched out some knobs and pickup ring and whatnot. Then i decided to find out what pickup he had as my curiosity has been killing me for 2 years...so i open it up and this is what i see:
Could be me, but i am just not able to read it...

From what I can see, not a Duncan.

Take a DC reading, maybe it'll help.

HTH,

I think ive seen that signature before I cant place it but wasnt it one of the "boutique" winders that used to post on MLP? Maybe im high but it just seems like ive seen that before...

Nothing in that pic leads me to believe its a duncan though.

Re: Identyfying a sd pickup

Hahah, didnt know that...so is it a legit seymour duncan? He bought it from a very well known luthier here, who is supposed to be the best guy around...and it sounds great, just curious

Re: Identyfying a sd pickup

Also, the luthier told him its a jason becker signature...could that be correct?
