high E of course. and take away G and B too while you're at it. hehe.

3 strings are enuf for powerchords.

Goodbye High e...mail me if you get lonely, I´ll send you the other unwound string for company :lmao:

Low E. That's IF I had to lose one. I dont even play electric anymore, it's all acoustic. And I find myself muting the low E string w/ my thumb ALOT. So I guess I'd have to say the low E.

High E. You cant riff with it, so whats the point? Those high notes always sound like crap to my ears anyway.

Re: If u could only have a 5 stg guitar, which stg would u give up?

I'd drop the low e.

Then i'd cut the nut of the guitar and move it to the center, so that I have more room on the top and of the bottom of the fretboard - Eric Johnson style.

Roll-offs to no end baby.

High E for sure. If you run out of notes at the top of your B string, just bend it :)

Re: If u could only have a 5 stg guitar, which stg would u give up?

I'd go with five 'b' strings, just to be completely different.

Losing one of the 'e' strings makes sense, though. They're at the ends, so you would still be able to use the same patterns in standard tuning. As to bending the 'b' to get the higher notes, I could also use my floyd to drop the 'a' down to the other notes. I don't know if I could pull up high enough to get the 'b' up to an 'e' without breaking the string. I guess I could use an 'e' string and tune it to 'b.' So which one would I be doing without if I did that?
