if you could have any custom shop make you a guitar?

Re: if you could have any custom shop make you a guitar?

I'd get me a Les Paul with a deeper neck joint and no heel, offering me unlimited acces to the last frets. I think ESP could do that no problem

Fretboard: Ebony w/ 15" radius

Pick ups: (HHS) Duncan Custom (b), Duncan Screamin' Demon (m), Lil' '59 (n)
Electronics: 3 push/push volume (individual neck/middle/bridge pups) w/ split functions, 3 way toggle, 1 push/push piëzo volume (to engage piëzo), 1 push/push piëzo tone (push to deactivate passive pick ups)
Bridge: Tonepros locking bridge w/ string-thru-body design and L.R. Baggs Piëzo
Tuners: Sperzel Locking
Hardware: Nickel plated (including knobs, bezels, switches etc.)
Binding: Natural body and headstock, flame maple on neck
Frets: 22 Dunlop 6100 frets
Finish: Rootbeer (nitro) front body and headstock, clear (nitro) back body, oil finish on neck

Re: if you could have any custom shop make you a guitar?

A Les Paul Std in teal black flame with brushed stainless hardware and McCarty style wiring. One volume, one tone that pulls up to split only the neck humbucker.
3 way in it's normal place.

A Collings dreadnaught acoustic cutaway with the Duncan D-Tar system.
Sitka/Brazillian, of course!

Grosh...I'm sooo jealous of the_Chris's bent-top. :laugh2:

Re: if you could have any custom shop make you a guitar?

What I'd like to have and what I'd probably get are two different things. My guess is that I'd end up with a Tele made out of Alder with a quilted maple cap, humbucker that I can split out or BG1400 in the bridge , push pull pots, maybe a P90 in front.
The other thing that I'd probably get is an LP Custom with a transparent amber tiger maple top, with the Jimmy Page electronics but using different pups.

I'd have fender CS make me this:

p90-tele.jpg

Perhaps not reliced, though. maybe in a nice sunburst like the strat-o-sonics.

most of my fave guitars can be had off the shelf: relic nocaster, McCarty Soapbar in teal black, relic Strat.

John Suhr

I'd tell him to have some fun and make me a great gat that would make me say 'WOW'

Re: if you could have any custom shop make you a guitar?

www.mosercustomshop.com If your a fan of the OLD BC Rich guitars from the late 70s/early 80s, then this is the place to go. I'd get a N/T Bastard V with Koa neck and body wings, some fancy rosewood fretboard (24.75 scale) and a pair of Duncan Distortions.

Cheers,

CJ

Re: if you could have any custom shop make you a guitar?

i want blueline to make me a single cut next. He is already making me the custom tele that i want.

for the single cut.
it needs to be completely hollow but i would accept a center block under the bridge instead of bracing.
plain (with a very slight figure) maple top finished in a vintage tobacco sunburst color
some pafs
and a nice thick neck(think 1958 lp)
