If you HAD to choose

sosomething

Seymour Duncan Customer Support
One SD production pickup - any style, position, humbucker or single or anything - to go in every guitar you will ever play until the end of time...

No custom shop, no shop floor, no modding. You dabbled in Santeria, ticked off a brujo, broke a mirror, and some old lady threw a chicken at you. You are cursed (or blessed) with the condition that every guitar you touch for the rest of your life will magically have one specific regular-production SD pickup in it for the whole time you're touching it until you put it down.

Which one would you want it to be?

WHY?

Re: If you HAD to choose

SP90-3n Custom P90 in the bridge/Treble position.

Re: If you HAD to choose

No one has to use one model of PU in everything. Why not ask what's people favorite and most versatile in more guitars for more applications?

My favorite I use in the most kinds of guitar is a Seth set.

Yeah but its just a hypothetical its like the desert island questions... No one will ever get to choose what they take on a desert island but as a lark people still talk about it.

Re: If you HAD to choose

Custom in the bridge will work for just about anything. Could be run in parallel in the neck and lowered to be even with the body.

Re: If you HAD to choose

No. I want TWO. Neck and bridge.
Too bad. You are cursed. You get one.

Shut up.
Has to be an SD? I can do it if you dont close it to SD only... SD only would be hard.
Has to be an SD. That's the name of the game.
Sorry Adam, no such thing.
Then you get no guitars at all. The curse remains.

Re: If you HAD to choose

I feel like I'm going to catch hell from someone about this because it's not exactly exciting but I'm going to have to go with the 59N? I love it, in the bridge or neck? It has worked well in almost every guitar I've ever tried it in & I love the natural mid scooped/true P.A.F. sound it's got!!! The only downside is the relatively low output, but for me the SH-5 just loses some of its magic with the output increased? The Custom Custom is a close second though, I'd definitely take it over the SH-5 any day!!!

Great, somewhat unconventional answer. I love it.

Re: If you HAD to choose

Like the pearly gates talk honestly. Maybe a custom/59 but I think versatile and lower output will be the trend. Someone would have to be a loony to choose an invader

Re: If you HAD to choose

I like my Jazz, I can't even describe why... there's just something about those warm neck tones that I'm drawn to, even though my JB is certainly more versatile.

That being said, I've been GASsing lately for P-Rails in my semi-hollow. I have a feeling that once I make that happen I'll be changing my tune.
