If you had to limit your rig to 3 pedals - what would you choose?

Re: If you had to limit your rig to 3 pedals - what would you choose?

Wah Pedal (Jimi Hendrix Signature)
TS-808 (the clone I have now works fine)
Seymour Duncan Lava Box distortion

:)

I only have a phaser right now, but my three would be:

boost, phaser, delay

You mentioned that you have not found a phaser you're happy with...have you tried the maxon rotary phaser? It is pricy, but I liked it the best and use it regularly. Interestingly, my second favorite was the small stone nano at 1/4 the price.

Re: If you had to limit your rig to 3 pedals - what would you choose?

Line 6 DL4 Delay Pedal
Jekyll and Hyde OD/Distortion

Those are the only two I would ever need in front of my amp.

I'm thinking a chorus possibly for the third one but I haven't really found any chorus pedals that get that chorus sound (I can get it with the Chorus setting on my Vox Ad50VT though)

If I could only have 3 I'd have a Wah, OD/Distortion and either a Compressor or a Boost, I can't decide :D

EASY! I'd keep the only three pedals I have now on my board!

Wah, OD and Delay!

Re: If you had to limit your rig to 3 pedals - what would you choose?

my 3:

Digitech Bad Monkey OD
Digitech Chorus Factory
Line 6 DL4 Delay Pedal

Fuzz

Tremelo (a future purchase).

Tube Screamer, Electric Mistress, Boss Digital Delay.

Re: If you had to limit your rig to 3 pedals - what would you choose?

Blackstone S2V3 OD
Analogman Sunlion Boost & Fuzz
Donnerbox Spatial Delay

That was easy !!! :D

Re: If you had to limit your rig to 3 pedals - what would you choose?

noise suppressor in the front end
phaser in the front end
delay in the loop of a high-gain amp.

My next purchase after some new pickups will be the Moog phaser and Boss DD-6 delay to replace my Rocktron Xpression, which I just use for phase and delay. The Moog accepts 4 expression pedals (I can't wait for that fun) so I'm hoping one application of the Moog will be as an uber-wah; my Vox wah has an inch of dust on it.

Re: If you had to limit your rig to 3 pedals - what would you choose?

Delay, Phaser, Wah.

Those are by far the most used effects in my pedalboard.

Re: If you had to limit your rig to 3 pedals - what would you choose?

I only have one pedal, that's a tuner.
But if I didn't have a two channel amp it'd be a distortion, and overdrive and possibly a wah, or a chorus.

Re: If you had to limit your rig to 3 pedals - what would you choose?

Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah
Klon Centaur OD
L6 MM-4, so I can get decent models of chorus, vibe, phaser, trem. That pedal covers a lot of ground.

Re: If you had to limit your rig to 3 pedals - what would you choose?

Guitar=>Wah=>Tremelo=>volume + boost pedal=>Amp. I'd use the boost for light drive and amp distortion channel for some heavier tones. I'd get the Behringer tremelo for it's awesome effect and if needed set it lightly so it does a nice spring reverb.

Re: If you had to limit your rig to 3 pedals - what would you choose?

Overdrive
Chorus
Delay

Re: If you had to limit your rig to 3 pedals - what would you choose?

No one remembers that there are multi-channels amps?

Oh and correction:

Digitech Expression Factory=>Digitech Chorus Factory=>Volume+Boost. Amp handling the dirt duties.
