I really try to stay away from sig products ... have only one - Bad Hoarsie. But there are to monsters that I would wanna own at some point, Blackmore's Engl and Iommi's Laney, what about you?

Mark IV... we could call it the Kac IV

Re: If you were to get a Sig Amp, which one?

For rock and metal, the Marshall JCM 900 SL-X V!N Signature ! Now that'd be an amp. Only thing different from the originals: a footswitchable clean volume.

For blues, the Marshall Studio 15 V!N signature: exactly the same as the originals, just with my scribble on it and a free pint of Heineken with every purchase. :approve:

Re: If you were to get a Sig Amp, which one?

I'd have Victoria, 65 and Germino make me a small head each. Then I'd sign the back with a silver marker. Then I'd get a custom head switcher and sign that too.

Re: If you were to get a Sig Amp, which one?

the alex lifeson triamp seems pretty dreamy

i hear ya on that one!!! i'd love one of those

Only signature amp i own is a 5150 half stack.... the original one.... i oneday would love to own the 5150III

Re: If you were to get a Sig Amp, which one?

I'd have Marshall make up some MkIII Master Volume heads and combos, slap my name on it. That's it.

That one already exists, it's the JCM 900. :) The 900 SL-X is the MK IV MV, so my 900 SL-X V!N would be the MK V MV. :cool2:
You can have the MK VI MV ! :headbang:

I know it exists, or existed. I own a 2100 head. It's the predecessor to the SL-X. ;) GREAT amps. I wish Marshall would bring them back.

That's a great one indeed ! That one, the SL-X and the Studio 15 are surely worth bringing back. Therefore, I was almost shocked when to find out they re-issued the 900 Dual Reverb !

If you ask me, they're not re-issues at all. They're all NOS amps that wouldn't sell and have been sitting in the Marshall warehouse for years and years on end. :scratchch
:joke:

Re: If you were to get a Sig Amp, which one?

forgive me, but i can imagine zakk wylde's signature JCM800 sounds pretty good when you're not actually zakk.. on paper it sounds like a more aggressive JCM800! count me in!

or a 5150, seeing as they all carry the man's signature.

I was tracking some solos for new Evergrove recordings on Sunday and Jeff layered a 5150 II and a Carvin Legacy on one of them. :laugh2:

I own the Carvin, Jeff owns the Peavey.

It's not the "SRV sig amp" but everyone knows that's SRV's amp, with Cesar Diaz, SRV's tech's mods...it's the unspoken sig amp which is even more illustrious to me - Stevie was an everyman kind of guy
