Ilitch Back Plate Noise Canceling Systems (BPNCS)

Diminished Triad

New member
I have seen this well received noise cancelling system for tremolo guitars but not for those without tremolo routing.
Does anyone know where I can buy this system without necessarily adding a tremolo to my guitar?
I am building a strat model with 2Tek fixed bridge so there is no tremolo cavity in the back. I am routing through the rear and hope along with the Liberator I can somehow fit in this device because I've heard great things about its ability to cancel hum in single coil pickup guitars.

Thanks for anything you can share about where/how to find one that is not tremolo based and will work with fixed bridges.

They now have it built into pick guards as well...

Thanks, friend. There are two applications and I need the third. I'm not using a tremolo and using rear routing while designing my Warmoth guitars. Therefore any pick guard application will not include the pickups because I am using rear routing. Hoping that third application exists.

Thanks for any info you guys can share!

Email them and see what their custom shop can do...

There's a cavity model - but if I recall correctly its not as effective as the backplate or the under pickguard version. Considered a figured top and burying the coil under the top?

Sounds like you might be building the body from scratch - its not 100% clear whether you were.

How much is this onboard noise-cancelling system? How much is a pre-owned Rocktron Hush device? :scratchch

These systems cut out a considerable amount of hum but to increase the effectiveness you should still shield and ground your guitar.

Different manufacturer but the same concept:

Shure distributed for them but does not now do so anymore.
Definitely same product. Ilitch sells direct now.
Received letter from a tech there who is going to try and figure out what they might be able to do.
I am kind of surprised that they do not have a model ready for fixed bridge/rear routing guitars.
Do most making guitars use top routing and usually add tremolos? Still, would think there's lots of players not using tremolos and wanting rear routing without a pick guard up front.

Suhr has their own system now. Works at least as well (as the Ilitch built in system) and a lot cheaper as an option for a Suhr guitar.

The vid in the link is the Ilitch built in system previously available in Suhrs.
