Hey guys i just bought a Seymour Duncan SH-1b 59

And a gibson 500k Volume since people say that if im going to buy a humbucker i need a 500k potentiometer

However My Strat Copy has a very different wiring diagram than the ones i see on Seymour Duncan website or the ones that i see on youtube
i know what some stuff do but there are some wires in there that even Mr Seymour in person couldn't fix so im going to put a picture of my Circuit board and please Give me as much information as you think its needed

There are a few things that i Understand For Example what wire is from the bridge, middle, neck But there are some wires Like the red and the Yellow one that i absoluetly have no clue about .

the white wire goes to Tone 1 pot, which is actually assigned to your neck pickup.
the red wire goes to your volume pot input, and it's the signal wire.
the yellow wire goes to Tone 2 pot, which is actually assigned to your middle pickup.

You have there an asian switch, probably a low cost guitar.

To map your switch to standard fender 5-way, you need to map "columns" to "rows".

So, if we name the lugs of a fender 5-way like this:

B C
M B
N M
C N

Those corresponds to this, in your switch:

B M N C C B M N

1) OMG! Don't start that up again. We just had a free-for-all over 250K pots, and several forum members had to be hospitalized. Alcohol was involved.

2) Oh, I'm pretty sure Mr. Duncan could unravel any wiring problem.

Re: I'm a complete monkey in electrics

Generic south-east Asian budget Stratocaster copy circuitry.

Ajet, the points that the cables connect are far more important than the colour of their insulation material.

It might be worth examining the stock pots to identify their notional DC resistance values. The figure may be printed in black on the metal pot chassis or in white on the brown plastic area where the terminals are fastened. Many Chinese and Korean Fender style guitars employ 500k pots where Fender would have used 250k. Hence, no need to purchase a new volume pot just to try your new pickup.
