Are you kidding Paris is my favorite city and the shuttle flights to Berlin are cheap! I'd rather live in Paris. Where are you moving to?

Re: I'm Alive

Wow......I feel like a teen again....or just 20+ years younger...and it is still very fresh sounding!
Heard alot of New Wave stuff back then as well....but this, great mood and a feel of timelessness...like floating around with time all around you...lol I will lay off the coffee now;)
As usual a killer tune...moody in a cool way!
You would have been a hit when I was kid too!
Yeah the cancer is a sobering thing to think about...makes you understand how fragile our lives are!

Thank you Rid. :) Don't I wish I was 20 years younger, shame it doesn't work that way.

Yes, having two very close life long friends at the same time being sick is very sobering.

Re: I'm Alive

Sorry to hear about your friends bro.. Its a hard thing to watch.
I must say, the tragedy has spawned a great tune!! I agree with Rid in that it definately takes me back to the New Wave era, but your tune doesnt sound retro..
Let me know how I can get a recorded version!

Thanks a lot man I appreciate that very much! I'll post it here or start a new thread so people can download a copy when it's finished.

Deep south works for me BBQ! There's a high speed train north to Paris and we'll be by the beach. ;)

Re: I'm Alive

Intense emotion made clearly audible...what's music for if not that?

Great sounding track, as always. Songs for friends always carry something extra. Well done, I look forward to hearing it again when you decide it is finished. Personally, it already sounds very complete as it is.

Regards.................................Geoff.

Re: I'm Alive

Thanks very much Geoff truly appreciated.

I am going to add a little vocal stuff here and there and maybe a piano in the bridge breakdown. That held F# in the chorus grates on my ears a bit so I want to distract from it a bit. Anyhow, thanks again.

Re: I'm Alive

I am normally a rock/metal kind of guy, but I have always been able to latch on to songs that either have a great guitar break or just a heavy deep feel.
I have listened to this song dozens of times.. I love the emotion and its just a great piece of music too.. Good work! Am I safe to assume you are playing all parts??

BloodRose,

Thank you very much for that I'm glad it struck a chord :)

Yes, I am a one man band at the moment. I have this goal in mind and I've been working on it for years it seems :smash:. I set out to make music that if I walked into a very futuristic night club with hot goth chicks and good martinis what would I want to hear coming over the speakers? I'm trying to pull elements of electronic dance music, rock, classical and even some metal into the songs.
