Ok. You asked for it. It's a work in progress. The picture doesn't really show up the nasty crack thats about 3/4" above the neck pocket.

My luthier friend already did the glue thang. He also did a complete fret level/dressing. This is a $25 flea-market junk-yard dog, that we want to see if we can make "presentable", so to speak.

P.S. I actually have one of these Johnson Strats that I bought brand new several years ago, in sunburst. They are surprisingly nice Strat copies.

My SG special I have had since ~1991...She has had a hard 30 year existence

She is a 1985 Gibson SG special that was only made from 1983 to 1988. This model is easily spotted as it has 2 vol and only 1 tone, which sets it apart from most, if not all other SG models..She has a ebony board,mahogany body and the color is ebony.. atm.. she is loaded with an EMG 85 and an H

Eventually Id like to get her refinished and a refret.. But until that happens, she is retired to a case in my closet.. lol

I think she is beautiful but I have been told by many of you my 12 string Ovation Deacon is an ugly guitar.

By the way, yes, those are single coils in humbucker routes and rings. I didn't have a single coil guitar, but I DID have some single coil pickups laying around. Problem solved. The bridge pickup wouldn't go high enough, so I put washers under the screws that hold the rings on.

FAQ: Yes the volume knob goes to 11
Yes the neck is painted silver
Yes the tone knob is a skull
It is an old Westone that has been gutted and refinished, the body is poplar, the neck is maple with a rosewood board.
The bridge is a floyd rip off that bears almost no likeness to an actual floyd and it is blocked off.
Neck is a Jazz, bridge is a 59/C hybrid that has the hotter slug coil facing the bridge and an a2 magnet.
KOENIG is the last name of the man who went to town on this thing and gave it to me for I think my 11th birthday. He was my teacher and is currently producing the album my band is working on. All he did was the paint, it had been gathering dust for 10 years until I decided I wanted another guitar and saw it as a worthwhile investment to fix it up rather than buying a full new one.
It's hideous in all the right ways... I call it Hephaestus.

Crackle alligator green finish with taped off EVH style stripes where the texture changes.

I build this one last summer. Playable, stayed in tune but sounded like **** (even though I´ve know found couple of things to change it). I´m happy that it became a guitar that can be played, it´s my first attempt to build a guitar from scratch except the neck. But to be honest it looks like ****, especially from the sides and when you look at it closer, and sounded like ****.

It´s going to get another neck, new bridge pup and a proper switch instead of those three on/off switches.

Its ugly but cool. Like a punk chick.

The finish is material btw. it started off blue but the sealer made it amber so much so it turned it green. Tis a bit patina.
