I'm getting tired of hunting

So for a while now I've been looking for a second axe to downtune, and I'm getting tired of looking. I had my eye on some Agiles but all of the models I was interested in are no longer available! So now I'm thinking of just applying for credit at Musician's Friend and financing the Schecter C-1 Artist Limited Edition. $449 for a set neck Schecter with real Duncans, Grover tuners, etc. All I'd have to do is have it set up for drop C. Is this a bad idea? Or should I just wait a little longer?

Fender made an instrument called the Subsonic for a time. It was a Strat that was just designed to go low. They're probably available, if nothing else, through the Custom Shop. Not sure on the pricing, though, sorry...

I don't want bolt on, or a guitar specifically made to downtune. And Custom Shop is too pricey.

i told ya man i have the perfect guitar for that up for sale now (schecter tempest) and that's what i use it for, low tunings...hence the EMGS (articulate in low tunings). it's like new with EMGs, grovers and tone pros, mahogany body and neck (set). plus it's less than a new schecter and has better pickups.

i told ya man i have the perfect guitar for that up for sale now (schecter tempest) and that's what i use it for, low tunings...hence the EMGS (articulate in low tunings). it's like new with EMGs, grovers and tone pros, mahogany body and neck (set). plus it's less than a new schecter and has better pickups.

I've eyed it quite a bit. I'm in a tricky financial situation though. I need another guitar soon, but I won't have the money to buy one for a month or two. This is why I was considering getting credit at MF. I'm still considering selling my amp though, then I'd have the cash.

Too pricey for what it is. I like having a neck pickup too.

a $450 guitar is not worth financing. just wait till you have the cash. don't get yourself sucked into debt.
