Yep. Since I just love swamping pups and my brand new (used) Hagstrom Swede screams for clean and classic rock, I first stumble on a dirt cheap GFS Mean 90 for the neck. Never had the chance to try a P90 and I must say I love it. For 20$ ? Come on.
Then, after checking out over here at the trade section and over at TGP, I found a Tv Jones Classic plus (hb mount of course, bridge position). Oddly enought, that very pup was sold by the some guy that I bought the GFS 3 weeks ago. After a few search about that pup, I was like : Time to go out and try something different.

As soon as I plugged this baby, I had a uncontrable urge to put spring reverb at 10, a short delay and play some old stuff. Crank the gain knob and...now I understand how to get that classic acdc rythm sound ! Not too fat, not to shrill...I think I may never look back for my classic rock needs. Paf humbucker ? Nah.
Ok, that's a bold statement
Now I need to find a Tv Jones classic for the neck (or a magnatron) and give the mean 90 for a friend...but I will need a guitar dedicated for my P90 sound....oh well, another guitar to buy I guess.
PS : Those Hagstrom are pure gems btw.
