I have these vintage rails. They are 100 authentically all naturally reliced. I believe I got these in the early 90s. I am looking for some noiseless single coil sized pickups for neck and middle. The vintage rails are just a little too mellow for me. I have kept them forever but I need something hotter. Thanks. 450775357_1932933300449669_637101631789903815_n.jpg

They have plenty of lead I do not want to pull them out until I find replacements. My eBay handle is rokkdogg if you want to check my feedback. I do NOT have these for sale on eBay. :)

Cool Rails would be a, well, cool upgrade. (Or rewire the VR's in series.) Virtually the same thing. No cost.

I think they are wired in series, these only have 2 wires ground and hot. You can't split them. Maybe not, I just have them wired the standard way. All I. found was this but would they not be both on at the same time?

Maybe someone could explain to me how to do it. I have always just wired pickups the standard way my whole life.

Vintage Rails and Duckbuckers, (older ones), are factory wired in parallel. Newer ones are 4-conductor and give you the option of parallel or series. You apparently have the older ones. So, you'd need to replace them if you don't like their sound.

I’m not interested in the VR’s but I do have two Cool Rails that I could sell or trade. They’re unused and have never been installed. The only trade I’m looking for is humbuckers.
